Pledge Manager and Key Dates

Hi everyone,
The pledge manager for No Place Like Homebrew is now LIVE!
This update includes some key information on our survey deadlines and fulfilment schedule, so please take a look through, even if you're familiar with our normal process.
Please note, your credit/debit card will not be charged until February 2025 (unless you pay with PayPal, as they take payment straight away).
Estimated Timeline
18th December 2024 – Pledge managers sent
24th January 2025 – Pledge managers locked
7th February 2025 – Pledge manager cards charged
March 2025 – Other Roll & Play Press book digital files distributed to backers who purchased these add-ons (if they have completed their pledge manager and have no outstanding payments)
September 2025 – Fulfilment of all digital products
October 2025 – Pledge manager addresses locked
December 2025 – Fulfilment of all physical products
Receiving the link
You'll receive a link to the pledge manager from a company called BackerKit, so look out for their name in your Inbox (and Junk folders, just in case). The link is sent automatically to all backers in batches over the next couple of days. Everyone should receive a link by Thursday 19th December.
If you do not receive a link to your pledge manager by the end of Thursday, then please either click on this reset link, send us a Kickstarter message or drop us an email, and we will be able to send you a new one.
Filling in the pledge manager
When you open your pledge manager, please check that your name, location and pledge level are all correct. If everything looks good, go ahead and click the 'Get Started' button.
If you would like to upgrade your pledge to a higher level, click the 'Switch Your Pledge Level' button after opening your pledge manager (as shown below). This will make sure that your pledge manager is set up with the right rewards for that level.
In the pledge manager, you will be asked a few important questions about your pledge and gain access to the Add-On Store – it's here you can add extra items to your existing pledge rewards.
At the end of the pledge manager, you will be asked to enter your shipping address (if receiving physical rewards) and payment information for any outstanding shipping/add-on costs.
The survey should only take 3-5 minutes to complete!
If something doesn't look right, please click on the 'Need Help?' button to contact BackerKit support, and they will be able to advise you or resolve the issue.
Pledge manager deadline
EARLY CUT-OFF FOR DIGITAL BOOK DELIVERY – Digital PDFs of other Roll & Play Press books purchased during the campaign or Add-On Store will be fulfilled early to backers who fill out their pledge managers by February 28th. These backers will receive their PDFs in March 2025. Backers who complete their survey after this date will have digital files of their other Roll & Play Press books delivered at the same time as the No Place Like Homebrew digital fulfilment in September 2025.
LOCKING ORDERS – Pledge managers will be locked on January 24th. Backers who complete their pledge manager after this time will likely receive their rewards later than other backers.
Making payments
If you choose to pay for outstanding balances, shipping costs or add-ons via debit/credit card, your card will be charged on February 7th. We will notify you again nearer the time.
If you choose to pay through PayPal, payment will be taken immediately after you complete your pledge manager. In the event that global shipping prices significantly change between the launch of the pledge manager and when cards are charged, backers who paid via PayPal will need to pay the outstanding difference before their rewards will be shipped.
Moving house soon?
If you are planning on moving house soon, or aren't sure where you will be living during this project's physical reward fulfilment in December 2025, we would strongly recommend adding a friend or family member's address instead of your own when prompted to add your shipping address. It is possible to amend your address until the pledge manager addresses are locked in early October 2025; after this point, we will do our best to accommodate address changes, but cannot guarantee this will be possible.

There's OFFICIALLY No Place Like Homebrew!!
It's happening everyone! No Place Like Homebrew is officially fully funded – and it's all thanks to YOU.
2551 of you turned out to support this campaign, unlocking all our stretch goals and making this project a reality. That means the end of this Kickstarter campaign... but the start of thousands of new homebrew adventures.
We are so excited to make this book, but I'm even MORE excited to hear about the worlds you make using it. Which NPCs will become your campaign villains? Which dragons will nearly cause a TPK? And which tavern will become your party's local? I can't wait to find out. Well – we'd better get writing!
What next?
While we forge ahead with making your rewards, there are a couple of things you'll be asked to do:
1. Pay for your pledge – Over the next couple of weeks, Kickstarter will start charging cards and processing pledges. If there's an issue with your card, you'll have 7 days to resolve it before they try again. (And if there are still problems, this can usually be fixed in the pledge manager via PayPal).
2. Fill in the pledge manager – You'll get a link to our pledge manager in mid-December from BackerKit. We'll collect your shipping details, and a few other key bits of info. You can also upgrade your pledge or add extra rewards in the Add-On Store.
Don't worry, orders and addresses won't be locked until later in the project, so there's plenty of time left to make changes to your pledge. If you have any questions, reach out to us at [email protected].
Project updates
We're fulfilling digital rewards in September2025 and physical rewards in December 2025. We'll keep you posted between now and then with monthly progress updates. Look out for illustration reveals, photos of samples and other sneak peeks.

NPC Mega-Deck
This campaign's most popular add-on (by a landslide) has been the NPC Mega-Deck. This beast of a box set has over 200 quick-reference cards for the NPCs in No Place Like Homebrew.
If you've chosen an NPC from the book who becomes a regular character, these reference card make it easy to always have their details and role-play prompts to hand. Or, shuffle the deck and randomly choose a character your party meet in the tavern!
It's not too late to add the NPC Mega-Deck to your pledge, just head to our Kickstarter main page and click Update Pledge before the campaign ends (only 5 days left)! The deck already comes in the HOARD and ARCANE COLLECTION pledge tiers.

Hey everyone,
It's officially the halfway mark of this campaign, and what better way to celebrate than smashing ANOTHER stretch goal!
STRETCH GOAL HIT
This stretch goal adds new pages to the back of No Place Like Homebrew, full of super-helpful campaign primers.
The primers will combine characters and locations from across the book to give you a framework for your next story arc or campaign. Plus, we'll have some awesome plot hooks to get the action started. I already have some really cool ideas for these, so I'm pumped we hit this goal.
New Stretch Goal
We've seen the comments asking if there's going to be another stretch goal... the answer is yes, we've decided to do one more! We've been inspired by spooky season to add some more ghoulish content to the book.
If we hit the next stretch goal, we'll be able to add new pages to the book and a ton of new entries, including UNDEAD BEINGS. Here's hoping we can channel some spooky Halloween magic to unlock this ghastly goal.
What Else?
We had a blast showing off an early sample print of No Place Like Homebrew at MCM Comic Con in London, UK this weekend.
And we were joined by one of the book's illustrators, Toby Fox, who did some awesome live sketching of attendee's RPG characters.

What a 5 days we've had since launching on Monday. We've got over 1,000 backers, more than $75,000 funded, and we've just smashed ANOTHER stretch goal!
STRETCH GOAL HIT
We just hit our More Illustrations stretch goal, adding 20 new pieces of art to the book. We're working with some ridiculously talented illustrators in No Place Like Homebrew. Seriously, this book is going to be beautiful when it's done. To celebrate, let's look at some sketches that recently came in.

New Stretch Goal
Coming up, we're looking to add campaign primers to the back of No Place Like Homebrew. Starting a campaign or story arc from a blank sheet of paper can be really tough; these primers will bring together different characters and locations from the book to give you a compelling start to your next story arc or campaign.
